Howdy,
I am testing my very first app, so my Xcode knowledge is less than nill, so if you respond please tell me step by step.
My very basic app , which was working on simulator, now runs black screen but with audio. on iPad iOS 7.1 its black, and in iPhone iOS 6.1 it is black. I ran test and got this error;
Command /Applications/Xcode.app/Contents/Developer/Toolchains/XcodeDefault.xctoolchain/usr/bin/clang failed with exit code 1

I know it is missing a file. I don't know if it is my xib file or a deleted path . I have read to start anew but I am getting frustrated and want to do a final check list before I do create a new project.
Thanks for those who read this.

You're right. it is a missing file. However you simply have not provided enough information as to what file is missing. I suggest you take a screen shot of the error along with all the other seemly unrelated messages in that same window and post it here.
