Hi

Can anyone please help/advise?

Not all of my mail is coming through.

Randomly, although the email address account seems to be working, occasional mail doesn't come through. I know this is happening as mail to the same email address comes through on my iPhone.

If (as I've seen for other problems) the answer is to delete "com.apple.mail.plist"... please could you tell me where and how to find this file?

The only similar files I've been able to find are the following empty folders inside the folder "Application Scripts":

com.apple.mail
com.apple.mail.MailNotificationContentExtension
com.apple.mail.MailQuickLookExtension
com.apple.mail.SpotlightIndexExtension
com.apple.MailCacheDelete
com.apple.MailServiceAgent
com.apple.MailShareExtension

Thanks in advance.

You can find it by opening a Finder window and searching. But, there's one by that name in all the language .lproj folders.

BTW, they all have the same creation and modification date of January 1st 2020, as does everything in the app's "Package Contents"...

Thanks. Found them.
But... do I delete them all?
I wouldn't. I don't believe they'd help resolve your problem. Somebody with more knowledge may correct me but I think they're all files that are part of the base of the app and may affect its funcionality if you delete them. There are files that are created anew on relaunch that solve problems in many apps but I'd be very careful about deleting any system files you're not sure about.

Are you sure the problem isn't with your server configuration in Mail, or even a problem with your mail server provider itself?

Could be, thanks.
I'll try deleting my account and remake it.
Cheers

Actually, if you look at the screen shot I just posted on another thread you'll see bottom left the icon of the pencil crossed out?

That means you can't edit its contents.

Or this screenshot:

It looks as though you have preferences set to not show file extensions. The com.apple.mail file you list possibly has a plist extension that isn't shown. In Catalina, the option is at Finder Preferences>Advanced.
