So I created a 100GB partition to load Yosemite, but during the shrinking process battery died and now 100GB is missing from my original partition but new partition isn't showing.. What can I do to recover?

    Thanks

What does Disk Utility have to say? Can you make a screenshot and attach it to your next post?

As you can see, the new partition hasn't been created. Maybe try it again?

I understand that. But where did the 100GB go?

Is it missing from somewhere? It is still listed as the capacity of the 500 GB HDD? What is shown, when you select Macintosh HD in Disk Utility? Screenshot?
