I updated to iOS right before going on a trip and all seemed great. Loving the turn-by-turn navigation, BTW.

But I noticed that some of my playlists were missing and I just assumed I forgot to sync it up again. I just returned from my trip and synced w/ iTunes to get my missing playlists back (my favorite ones, in fact) but they are still missing.

The Genius playlists are all there but the ones I have created are missing. Am I looking in the wrong place? All of the music did sync just not the actual playlist. Anyone have any insight on how I can get my playlists back? :(

I had the same issue. I resolved it by "un-syncing" my music and then re-syncing it. That brought back the playlists.
