So I am not sure where to ask this, since I didn't notice an iTunes section, but recognized this when I got my new iPad Pro. I've been in the process of adding films and what not to my new iPad & one I wanted to add was Scott Pilgrim Vs the World. Only it doesn't show. If I go look for it in the store, it offers to sell it to me again. I can still see the movie in my collection on an older computer ( one that has old IOS & I have 2 factor authorization, which means the the iPP won't trust the comp without an update ) with no problem. I went back and checked in my Purchase history and sure enough it shows me purchasing it in Nov 2010.

My question is did Apple decided to remove it, and want me to buy it again? Or is there a way for me to get the movie back on my devices without paying for it again?

Anyone else notice any missing purchases on newer devices from iTunes?

Thanks for any help.

This only affected Canada, and was due to distributor changes.

Sometimes the studios update the digital movies. When this happens search in your purchased items, you should find your version there. When all else fails contact Apple support, they can re-link purchased titles to your cloud account it’s happened to me before.

I assume I have to talk to Apple support since it doesn't seem the current movie doesn't seem to be different than my original copy.

If the movie is there again perhaps this is a new version? Are you using the same Apple ID?[/QUOTE]

Yeah my Apple ID hasn't changed since I've had Apple products. So not sure why this movie and one other ( The Raid ) is missing.

Another quick thing to check is the TV app on your iPad. See if it’s there you may own the SD version not the HD version.

If that is the case, shouldn't I be able to still get the SD version? I believe at that time, there wasn't choices and may have just defaulted to SD.

Yes you should. If you’re looking in iTunes for the cloud icon. It defaults to the HD version tap on SD and see if it shows up.

I checked the SD version as well. It's nice enough to let me purchase the movie again for only $9.99 instead of the HD price of $14.99. No cloud icon available.

Ah, quality time with Apple support, or more like write what my problem is, and they may get back to me.

Thanks guys.

Slight weird note.

Movies Anywhere sees that I own the movie and makes it available to me in their app, so I can always grab it there.

 Weird.

If that’s the case, Apple support can relink it to your account. I’ve had it happen myself. I figure their database probably gets confused or corrupt with data and iTunes Connect over time. Especially as studios update copyrights for re-releases. It maybe listed as a 2018 movie now or what-not so the DB thinks it’s a new release but all that changed to us is the cover art. Contact support they’ll fix it.
