Missing SSD from Mac Pro System Profiler

Overnight my Windows SSD has vanished from Finder, System Profiler and the Hard Drive boot selection screen. I don't have access to any other PC I can put the SSD in to test. So is there anything I can do from OSX to try and get the drive back?

Does the SSD show up in Disk Utility (unlikely if it does not show up in System Profiler)? Could you install Windows as a VM?

Yeah it doesn't show in Disk Utility either.
