Using Assistive Touch in Accessibility settings you can set up a virtual home button, complete with single and double taps, tap/hold, and 3D Touch, with each gesture assignable to a wide variety of functions.

I’m playing with it now and I might even keep it. I have it set up to open control center with one tap, double tap for reachability and app switcher with 3D Touch.

Set the transparency to 15% and you’ll barely see it.

It’s a bit finicky because you can drag the button and I keep inadvertently moving it with swipes.

We shall see. If nothing else it might help make the transition a little easier if you’re having issues adjusting to no home button.

i actually find this function very helpful....i have mine set to screenshots better than trying to press 2 buttons at once...

but i would like to know how to leave it in one permanent spot....when i open an app it moves no matter where i place it...

any ideas ?
