So I was one of the lucky few who was able to snag a release date IPhone X. I loved the phone. I went from an iPhone 7 to the X and everything about it was perfect.

Two days ago I unfortunately lost my phone though! I did a claim with assurant and for some reason they are unable to process any card payments when it comes to the iPhone X. Has anyone lost their iPhone X and were you able to get it replaced??

They want to use refurbished as replacement. Supposed to give new if not.

How does anybody lose a phone? Especially a brand new $1000+ one.

I can understand stolen but just plain lost? I've never heard that before.

You've never heard of someone losing a smartphone? They can slip out of your pocket in a cab, at a restaurant, bar, when you're running to catch a train.

Damn that's a nightmare for sure, I've never lost a phone but i had my Nokia N93i stolen a long time ago (it was an $800 phone at the time so pretty relevant). Leaves a bad taste in your mouth.

I guess. It's true there are extremely careless people in this world. I've trained myself to check where my phone is before I have the chance to lose it.

Now that was one freaky phone. The age of Nokia and PocketPC - those were the real days of innovation. All sorts of interesting concepts, Now, everything is just a glass rectangle.

I agree, I loved those days of cell phones. So much choice, so many unique options. Now is Apple/Samsung/Android-Other, and like you mentioned, all the same design.

Yea it was pretty careless of me not going to lie. I was out drinking some friends and you know how that goes...

Thankfully the insurance was actually able to sort it all out. Should be receiving the phone today. It did cost me $275 though

Do you have Find my iPhone enabled on it?

No I didn’t have it activated. I recently had done a trade in and transferred my information to the x. I guess it transferred that over to my x when I did the back up.
