Did they remove the option to clear all notifications at once by tapping the X on the upper right corner in Notification Center? I see I now have to clear them one by one by swiping left and tapping “clear”

Out of curiosity, are you using a 5S or a 6-series device? I believe they removed the "x" for older devices that don't have 3D touch.

The X does appear diagonally down across from the date. A simpler way to envision it may be to keep in mind that the X is situated directly in line with the day label (i.e. Earlier Today, Yesterday, Monday, etc.).

You don’t see the X for current notifications. Slide up for older ones, 3D Touch on any X and you should be able to clear all.

The X appears only when there are old notifications present, to clear recent notifications, you have to swipe each one by one.

This is true. I have a notification from 45 minutes ago that has an X, but the one from 5 minutes ago does not. I wonder at what time a notification moves from "recent" to "earlier today".

If you lock and unlock your device, then any "new"/"recent" notifications become "older" ones and your can see and use the "X" that shows up for them to clear them all at once.

So this morning I have a boatload of notifications..... a few from the night before showing under older. But anything after midnight has to be cleared one by one. Really? What's Apple doing?

Did you try what was mentioned in the post preceding yours?
