An ambitious project. $100 seems pretty low, but as they say the screen is the major obstacle. But it shouldn't take forever for 12" (or even 10") screens to get cheap enough.

I think that this is a very worthwhile project. My hope is that MIT isn't using Windows. There mass production plans would certainly lower the price.
