Anyone concerned that Apple has not listed any Mac Pros for Airplay Mirroring support? Seems like a glaring omission. I know I can use a third-party tool for it, but I can't help feeling like I'm off in the corner of the dance chatting with all of the other geeks instead of being out on the floor with the other fools. (not a slight to fools) :D

Probably not included assuming the Mac Pro requires an external monitor?

Airplay Mirroring leverages Intel's Quick Sync technology which is baked into integrated GPU's which are not found in Xeon processors. Therefore, as Airplay Mirroring exists today will not work on Mac Pros (this has been discussed before).

You'll be able to use Airplay as your output device directly from the Volume menu bar icon (hold down option while clicking). Works well with the Apple TV.

EDIT: To clarify, you'll only be able to output sound to an Apple TV.

Does the iPhone 4S also have something similar to Quick Sync? The 4S can do it, but a big fat Mac Pro can't.

EDIT: No big problem. There is a 3rd-party app called AirParrot that does this. It chews a lot of CPU power, but that's not an issue for my 8-core tower.

Yes the 4s has an h.264 encoder built in.
