I got an Apple TV in the off-season, and have checked out a couple of spring training games on it using MLB.tv. I have a question though: is it possible to control the quality of the feed? I actually want to reduce it: my ISP has a pretty low bandwidth cap that makes watching a whole ball game in HD a bad idea. When I watch it on my computer, I can reduce the quality, but I can't find a way to do that on the Apple TV. Is there anything I can do?

MLB.com has a forum for MLB.tv, so I'd suggest asking the question there. Their support people monitor it. I don't think there is a way to do what you are asking. If you have a low bandwidth cap its probably not ideal to be streaming videos in the first place.

I don't think you can adjust the bandwidth from the aTV side. Perhaps you could adjust the bandwidth from your router. Maybe limit the download speeds going to the IP address of the aTV.

Yeah, Netflix allows the adjustment through their website. I can get through a season with my bandwidth cap if I keep the quality low enough, and only watch the occasional big game at a higher quality. We're actually getting a better provider that has a better can, albeit still a cap, at the end of the month, but I'd like the option to be safe if it is available.
