Wrong question. Your PS experience will benefit from:

1. more RAM
2. faster disk
3. CPU power
4. cores

In that order. It will also help a lot using modern software that can actually take advantage of the hardware. That is, Photoshop 2019 is faster on an i3 than PS6 is on an i7.

Well for me Photoshop CS6 opens up instantly in about 2 second, while I tried the trial version of 2019 and it needs a bit mooore time to do the same. 🙂

That is because CC apps use a lot of background processes that need to be launched initially. First time opening an app will also require som OS specific security checking. Furthermore, if your PS6 is already in cache, it will open quicker.

My PS 19 opens up in less than 2 secs. But the point is moot, because it is what it does after that that is interesting.
