I can't exactly pinpoint when this started happening (perhaps since the most recent update), but my MMS messages are SERIOUSLY inconsistent lately.

I'll often MMS my coworkers who also have iphones in the evening and then the next day at work I'll say "hey, did you get that hilarious photo?" and most of the time they're like... "what photo?"

and sure enough, it shows as completed in my messages log, but they never receive a notification, and it never shows up in the messages log on their phone..

I would rather have it say "failed" on my end so I know enough to try again, but it shows as a successful transfer on my side..

Its been happening for roughly a month now, I think i'm going to call ATT and complain because its becoming very frusterating..

Are any other ATT customers having issues with this as of recent?

The same thing happened to me yesterday as well. Shows on my iPhone as going through, however the person I sent it to still hasn't received it 20 hours later.

Just an FYI, this isn't exclusive to iPhones. My AT&T LG phone has NEVER received 2 MMSs from a Verizon phone.

And vice versa. I sent 1 MMS two weeks ago to someone on Verizon, the person still hasn't received it.

yeah, I understand that, but I'm just basing my discovery on my own personal experience and wondering if its something recent that is affecting a larger spectrum.

Since the release of MMS on the iphone, mine has always been fairly consistent, and if the MMS didn't go through, i'd get that nice little red exclaimation point letting me know to try again..

but very recently, the MMS messages aren't going through, but leaving me to think that they did..

I did get a replacement iphone from apple very recently for a crack in the casing and dust under the screen, so perhaps its an isolated phone issue..

Lately I've been getting them when she sends them but sometimes its still spotty

Sometimes, my sisters will receive a text that says something like "image cannot be displayed."

Yes....for both MMS and Text Messages...

I've been having this issue for a good 3 months or so.

I'm on an iPhone 3G. I've noticed that often times, text messages will NOT go through...particularly to people with Blackberries. I know that sounds crazy, but after much research (i.e...my wife, who has a Blackberry, saying "I never got your text", as well as other friends with them saying the same thing), this holds true. I put a call into AT&T and they claimed it was the first they had heard of it. When I called back a couple weeks later to again report the problem, the rep said it may have something to do with CDMA (Blackberry) technology vs GSM technology (iPhone)....and the fact that the iPhone is one one and the Blackberry on the other. I'm not a huge technie, so I don't know if this is a legit possibility or if she was just trying to get me off the phone.

I do wish, however, that the phone would at least give us the error message/exclamation image so we'd know.

As for MMS, same holds true, but happens even MORE frequently than texting issues.
