I'm not really sure where mobile me falls in the macrumors forums hierarchy so I decided to post my question here as it most retains to the new iphone.

I was looking at the iphone 4 webpage and noted that under the notes feature it states this:

"Use Notes on iPhone to write yourself a quick note and keep important information on hand. Send notes to yourself or others via email and sync them back to your Mac or PC. If you use an IMAP account such as MobileMe, your notes can even sync over the air."

I'm going to be new to iphone but definitely want to sync my notes when I get the phone. Is this a known feature? If so, how do I sync my notes to my computer through mobile me?

I also found this picture on the web. Can anyone who has access to iOS 4.0 confirm this?

It's there, but I don't see anywhere on the MobileMe site to access them. unless someone knows more than me, I assume it will be launched with the OS update

I've got MobileMe but you don't necessarily need MobileMe to use, edit, delete, or add notes on you phone. All you need is an IMAP email account so that the Mail.app on your Mac and Notes on your iPhone is enabled with it. As you edit notes on your Mac or iPhone they will be updated automatically all in a folder called "Notes."

Personally I love this feature as I can quickly write my self a note on my computer and then wherever I go I've got the notes with me and can edit them on my phone(via iOS 4).

I use notes between my MBP, iPad, and iPhone. Everything syncs great wirelessly. If I update a note and hardwire sync to my computer before mobileme syncs my computer pops up a dialog box asking me which version one to keep.

You can't update notes right at www.me.com. You have to do that on a iDevice or through Mail on a mac.

Edit: Still using 3.0.4 iPhone / 3.2 iPad / Snow Leopard

I have my iphone set to sync notes, I have my Mac set to Sync notes under MobileMe prefs, but I have notes on my Mac that never go to my iPhone. They are old notes from my iPhone before I did a restore on it. Is there something I may be doing wrong? New notes seem to sync, but the old ones don't.

There seems to be another facet to this issue. If you use Outlook, then notes on the phone will sync with notes in Outlook but not with any other notes like MobileMe. At least that is what I am seeing so far. Maybe I don't have something set up correctly but...
