Will Mobile Me sync files between your mac and the clowds or do you need to physically transfer the files?

It will be just like iDisk is now, anything that you put inside your iDisk folder will auto sync.

Will it still give the option to have a local/client based copy of all files that are in the idisk?

No. iDisk is online storage, not the new exchange like features.

You do not need to physically sync emails/calendar events/contacts

Just to clarify things mobileme will be exactly like dotmac except for a few things:

A few features are being removed (see the story on macrumor's homepage for more).

Mobileme is getting push email, calendars, photo gallery, and contacts (dotmac currently has syncing for all those but it has to sync periodically or manually for that information to stay in sync).

iDisk is remaining unchanged except for the storage increase.

I don't need to do anything to sync my iDisk, it does it automatically.
