mobile notifications for facebook not working

I have checked and rechecked my settings for mobile notifications for facebook and nothing seems to be working. Even my text notifications are not working. Am I missing something simple that I am not doing? I am using iOS 9.3.1 on a iPhone 6+ Any help would be greatly appreciated. This is driving me crazy because other notifications are working fine like gmail, instagram, among others.

Facebook has been fairly inconsistent with its push notifications, and has become much more so over the past few months from my observations. Not quite sure why.
