    Hello,
I have an iPod Touch, an iMac, and in the future I will also have an apple laptop. I hate having to go to my main iMac to check my email, if I used MobileMe could I use my COMCAST email account and have mobileme still sync all of my created folders with all the emails in them to my other devices, and when I delete and/or edit it will sync everything too? I guess what I am asking is does the MobileMe email syncing service work with anything other than MobileMe emails?

Does your Comcast email use an IMAP folder structure? If so then you don't need MobileMe just to sync email; all of those devices can access an IMAP account and the server (IMAP) will keep them all in sync. However, I suspect you only have POP access, in which case you could have the Comcast email forwarded to MobileMe, sorted into MM folders, and then accessed via your different devices. You could also set all of the devices to use the Comcast smtp outgoing server so that your recipients don't ever have to see the MobileMe mail address.

^^ What he says is right. Also, you can make MobileMe poll for messages from your comcast (instead of forwarding them to MobileMe).

However, you can also do this via a free Gmail account.

    Set-up

Can you provide a reference or other instructions on how to set up MobileMe to simply poll my pop e-mail box for messages, preferably with the option to not delete messages unless they are older than 14 days?

I usually do this on my POP e-mail accounts, and it works well enough as far as keeping the important stuff accessible when IMAP is not available.
