MobileMe mail account - newbie question

I've signed up today for the 60 day MobileMe trial today and successfully synced all my info between MacBook, iPhone and iPad. Do I now need to create a new mail account in Mail specifically for MobileMe - Preferences > create a new account?

Yes. You will see a preconfigured option for a MM email account when you start new account setup.
