MacRumors friends, I could really use some advice on this subject.
I did MacRoogle this and found some info, but nothing recent, and nothing since SL came on the scene, so I'm hoping there may be some more up to date info out there.

Here my situation. I have been working as a freelancer for 5 years. My life is on my Mac, I have two email accounts, yahoo.com, and a custom domain through my web host.

I just started a new job where I use Apple Mail (their iMac, not mine) for my new job email account (IMAP.) They don't mind if I check my other email accounts at work, but they do not allow me to use Apple Mail to access them.

I was thinking I could fetch/Pop them using mobileme mail, but I believe this will mean that all responses will come from my @me address, not the actual addresses, can anyone confirm?

I've heard the same is true if I forward those emails to my @me address.

Now, I have heard that Gmail can do what I want, and will even make those other email addresses act like IMAP within Gmail, does that sound right? And if so, should I be using the gmail POP function to get that other mail, or having the mail forwarded to Gmail.

Can yahoo do the same? Since I already have a yahoo account, and mobileme for that matter, it would be simplest to use one of them as my hub, but it sounds like neither is quite up to the task.

Any advice would be most appreciated.

Thanks
