MobileMe mailbox retained by IOS5 on iPad2

    Everything synched fine for me on iCloud (with Lion) but my iPad2 (my mainframe is an iMac) keeps asking my now non-existent MobileMe account for a password, then on Mail on the iPad2 I get an error message. THE MOBILEME ACCOUNT IS NOT LISTED ON THE SETTINGS MENU, so IT CAN NOT BE ERASED. Am I doomed to reset the iPad2 and reinstall IOS 5?

    Settings> General> Reset> Reset All Settings

    No Data will be lost.
