Ok....call me crazy, but this used to work and now it doesn't.
I have 2 Macs on my local network, both running Leopard 10.5.6. By entering the same MobileMe username and password in my OS X User account (under Accounts)......I used to be able to click on either computer in the Finder sidebar, and because both machines accounts were on the same MobileMe username, it used to automatically authenticate me to see all my drives and allow for screen sharing, all without entering a password.
When I connected, it used to say at the top of the Finder window, Connected as: mymobilemeusername.
Now I just connect as Guest even though both machines setups haven't changed.
Anybody a) know what I'm talking about and b) know if there is a cause/fix?
I know I could just add my credentials into the Keychain, but I thought this was a cool feature on MobileMe.
Thanks.
