This is to warn MobileMe users that there is a potential problem with syncing Contacts from the Cloud to Outlook.

After a week of trying all the proposed resolution in the Apple Support web pages, and the inability for Apple technical support to find a resolution, it would be a good idea not to make substantial or even any changes to the Contacts in the Cloud after a seemingly successful sync from Outlook and to iPhone.

You may have problems to sync the changes back to Outlook and thus loose all your changes made in the Cloud. To be on the safe side, make changes only in Outlook so that you will have a copy as there are no provisions for you to export the Contacts out from the Cloud if the sync is not working.

Other users who do not have such problems, may help to replicate the infamous "Inconsistent Data" error by backing up their good copy in Outlook and then make some random and major changes of the Contacts in the Cloud and then sync it back to Outlook. Any confirmation of the same problem or otherwise would be very helpful to all users who are having the same irritating problems !

Thanks !😡
