MobileMe Won't Sync

I am trying to Sync my MobileMe account with my Macbook (running Leopard with all the latest updates) but everytime I go into the MobileMe Preferences, the 'Synchronize with MobileMe' checkbox reverts back to being unticked.

Has anyone else has this problem? How do I get round it?
