Mod My Xbox?

I recently got hold of an Xbox (not a 360).

I have being reading a lot about XBMD and found that you can mod the xbox without having to get a mod chip any more, by using splinter cell or some other games. it looks pretty simple, so i was wondering if anybody had any experiance in this field or had done it themselves? any advice welcomed.

Finally got round to it. Worked very smoothly and can now enjoy the pleasures of things such as Kai and XBMC

would you mind explaining me, or pming me how to do this? I might have an opportunity to buy a friend's xbox when he buys a 360, and what to learn about it a little bit more before i do. Thanks

Its called a TSOP flash or exploit. Personally I recommend getting a chip regardless. Check out xbox-scene.com (tutorials are in the top bar).

BTW, yes, XBMC is sweet.
