I don't know if this has been suggested before, but I think it would be fun at the beginning of the year to have all Mods and, of course, gods give predictions as to what they think will happen during the next year. (Like predict what new products will be released, what major updates etc.

If it seems dumb or has already been turned down forgive me, though I'd find it quite interesting to see.

I have nothing but the upmost respect for the mods (except jsw, WildCowboy, devilot and edesignuk) and think this would be a great idea. We could then laugh at them and make fun of them laud them for their extraordinary and visionary predictions in the forums.

I think this is a great idea, but I'm not the one that would have to do the work and/or open myself to ridicule for predicting incorrectly.

You've already opened yourself up to ridicule by implying that you, a lowly contributing $25 Demi-god can be mentioned in the same breath as the MR Gods. LOL. ;)

Hahaha! Exactly the point, my opinion doesn't matter only the Gods and Mods. They are the ones that would have to do something so they are the only ones whos' opinion counts. :p

You better not say because I don't think that anyone wants to clean up.

    That would be cheating. ;)

I was more thinking it could be done at the beginning of the year, and maybe (if approved of) a end of 2007 prediction. Just a thought.

Why the mods? They are a bunch of low life crazies who put there hands all over everybody's stuff.

    Dirty filthy mods.

    Should be everybody.

Hamster or no hamster, Rokem is correct. The selection of moderators is based on criteria other than knowledge of Apple's future, or even Apple's past. While some of our moderators know quite a bit about Apple, and our editors may go out on a limb making predictions, the members with the best prognostication skills are everywhere among our members. You just don't know who they are until their predictions come true!

I wouldn't have a clue. Everything I know I learn from here... I use a Mac for my work and casually look after a network of seven of them. I also have one at home, an iPod and an iPod Hifi. And in all cases, I buy when I/we need them.

However, what I do confidently predict is that whatever Apple release in the next 24 months, there will be someone out there who will not be happy. ;)

    Speak for yourself.

Hmmm, has anyone ever gone back and checked out Doctor Q's predictions in his semi-annual Top 50 Posters Threads?
