Just picked this up from best buy and snapped a few pics so I thought I'd share for anyone interested.

I am no review writer but I quite like the case so far.

It does add some bulk and definitely some weight but I've never had a flip case before so I'm appreciating the extra width when folded back (more to hold onto), and the possibility to fold it into a stand type case (wish I had it last night, watched a movie in bed- really uncomfortable without a stand).

It has two camera holes so that you can mount the phone in two different orientations depending on your dominant hand or preference. These camera holes also make it possible to reverse the case and wear it "insdie out" (green on the exterior), but I'd worry too much about the green getting dirty. The finish, inside and out, is a smooth soft surface ( not microfiber) which makes the exterior susceptible to damage. The interior will also get dirty from handling it.The magnetic clicks are very reassuring and adds to the quality feel of the added weight.

Overall for $20 it's not bad if you need a case in a pinch (best buy was wiped out). Just wish the color was a little more conservative (red interior would be NICE)

note:::: Please excuse my gross screen protector...its temporary until I find a better solution

HERE is a link to the case

I also picked up a cheap blue bumper, frosted back, insignia case. If anyone is interested in a similar mini review just let me know.

I saw that at best buy and loved it. I'd have gotten it on the spot if it had room for a couple of cards.

Yes it is kind of weird to have a folio type case without the extra versatility of a wallet portion. It wouldn't be reversible though, which, unless they had better color combos, isn't a big draw to the case anyways.

I thought about trying that case but it didn't have an opening for the phone ear piece to be used closed. In the past flip cases have been a bit too annoying for me to talk on the phone unless I can talk on them closed.

But if you fold it back the magnet holds the flap out of the way so it should be easy to talk with open (2nd to last picture). If you're in a best buy I suggest trying the case out. At my best buy they pretty much let you open and try any case if you ask (and some were already sitting out)

Thanks for the pictures.... ordered a similar leather design and plan on modifying so that it will magnetically stick to the back like that.... hoping that makes it more functional open....have you considered cutting a hole in the flap for the camera when flipped?.... I would be interested to hear results if you ever do

Yeah I thought about it. But didn't want the screen exposed when the case is closed. Perhaps some type of magnetic flap you could have open when needed? But that would likely be an eyesore

Thanks for the heads up, I didn't know about the magnet. I will check out that case next time I go to Best Buy.

A friend of mine has this case and she loves it. Great camera shots btw! I didn't know of this color variation and will take a look at bestbuy.

I had a similar magnetic case off amazon. It throws off the compass and health meter (steps and stairs etc) as well as makes some games hard to play that use a gyro
Now I use a toru case off amazon. 9 bucks no magnet and works great. Another deal breaker for me is they cover the ear speaker so you need the case open to talk. That's awkward to me

Oh gotcha... Best Buy had a really nice folio case by Platinum Series, in black leather. Just like this Modal folio case, it is magnetic which is used to hold the cover closed and open. The added benefit of the Platinum Series was it had 3 slits for credit cards, and the case part the iPhone "snaps" into is attached via magnets as well so it can be removed from the folio cover if desired (I haven't seen any others do this yet). But in the end, I went with Modal because of the price; $10 is hard to beat. The Platinum Series case is $45.
