Modding the Apple Watch sport packaging as a charger?

I wonder if anyone has tried to mod this so that you can charge your watch that way? It would be interesting to see if it's possible (it probably is), but I don't want to risk it to any surgery, so maybe someone out there can try to mod it.

Someone posted one earlier but can't remember the thread. All he did was basically cut a cable width gauge in the side allowing the charger to sit in it. Probably too 2mins to do and worked a treat by the looks of it

Here are instructions I found. But I'm attempting to make mine now and the plastic just won't cut. Not sure what else to use. I've tried my pocket knife and my exacto.
