Modem Firmware question...

Im about to unlock an iPhone with Modem Firmware version 04.05.04_G with firmware 2.2.1. Am I suppose to downgrade the firmware somehow ? Im using a MAC BTW.

Yes. 2G firmware does not include baseband updates, while the 3G does.

I just used pwnage tool 2.0 to unlock a 1st Gen iPhone. I used my t-mobile sim and it seemed to work, now its not working anymore. The Carrier settings in the general tab is now gone. What to do ?
