Hi, thinking about a newer mac. now using a G4 10.411 and wondering if the newer ones like the Mini's or the pro's still have the dial-up modem's. If not what newer mac has the dial-up modem. thanks

Dial up modems are obsolete. No Macs have them any more. You will have to find an external modem. There are a variety of USB modems at Amazon.com for about $20. Good luck.

OS X still has support and drivers IIRC, so you can use a USB one. I know you can defiantly use a USB floppy drive - even with 10.10 Yosemite because I tried it recently!

Somehow I think this thread is a joke though - certainly in the UK dial-up (digital data over the voice frequency range of a copper phone line) has been disabled by BT.

edit: Zoom do a USB one that works with 10.10 Yosemite
