This is my experience with both a 32" 32MP58 and 24" 24M38 LCD's on two different 10,1 mini's. It will show an image, but it's all blue and pink. This is with both VGA and DVI, and DVI to HDMI on the 32". And these two mini's work fine on my Dell LCD.

Anyone else? All I can imagine is it must be some incompatibility with the Radeon 9200.

Dell is 1920x1200, and both LG are 1920x1080. All of them are 60Hz.

This is actually the first time I have ever tried to use a 1080p 16:9 screen on an PowerPC system. I have used various 1200p 16:10 displays since around 2005.

I couldn't reliably get 1080p to work with my 12" 1.33 PowerBook, and a Dell U2415 (1920x1200) experienced drop-outs on my Mac mini (both via DVI) . But I have run 2560x1024 via VGA on the mini just fine.

That's odd, because my Dell is also a U2415, and it works flawless with the mini. I have the 1.25 and 1.42.

Interesting. Maybe the DVI-HDMI cable I used was no good.
1920x1200 does really fill that 32MB the whole time it's running, and some things momentarily sketch out, but are fine soon after. Particularly full screen video in VLC or any other video player really. But just using the OS is always fine for me.

To add to the info here... the 24" LG works fine on my 2005 PB 12" @ 1080p. Never tried the 32", as it's really just used for video playback.

When I first bought my mini G4 1.42GHz I thought it had a dud GPU because it wouldn’t work with my trusty old Mitsubishi Diamond DV195 LCD display (1280x1024 @ 60 or 75Hz).

I then connected it to my TV with a DVI to HDMI adapter at 1080p and it showed only half an image, with the top half blacked out.

It works fine on three other displays I have though at the same resolutions as the above two... so it wasn’t the cable(s).

I’m not sure why this would be the case, but I have come across this a few times now.

Just the G4 mini being picky...
