I have both MW3 and BF3 and from being a MW fanatic I think I now prefer BF3. MW gets repetitive very quickly, while BF3 (with the vehicles, large maps etc) make it more interesting. I also prefer how you actually have to work as a team.

Many a time me and the rest of the squad have been barricaded in an alleyway trying to fight our way out.

PC, right? If you are, then add me in Origin (Omistaja98) and maybe we can play a few rounds together :) Others can add me too, just let me know who you are. Maybe we can setup a MR BF3 server if enough peeps come around.

Im afraid not. Xbox 360 gamer here.

Used to have a Gaming Rig, but sold it to purchase my first Mac :D

I can see the appeal for MW3. I never found a good enough deal for me to buy it, but I rented it last weekend and got some good time in on the multi-player. It's actually less than what I expected. Just for perspective, I've played COD, MW, MW2, and COD: BO, so it's not my first time around the block with these games.

The best things I found were the refinement of the various kits and Pointstreak systems. I like the Support pack since I'm kinda rusty at the whole run and gun thing. I like the leveling system since it's very similar to MW2. It keeps the carrot right in front of you, where as I got totally bored with the Black Ops upgrade system since you can get what you want quickly and aren't encouraged to learn another style of play to expand your experience. Weapon upgrades are more forgiving in that you don't have to complete specific actions to get new kit. Kill guys, get xp, get rewards, just how I like it. The mechanics are mainly the same as the previous games as well.

My biggest beef is the maps. In the rotations I played, I didn't find any I liked. It just felt like a giant paintball arena. Too wide open, no funnel points, just random walking around and hoping to find someone. This is what killed it for me from an otherwise enjoyable experience.

I didn't get a chance to jump in to the Single-Player or the Co-Op. I was going to grind out a bunch of Co-Op with my Brother-in-Law, but his PS3 Blu Ray drive took a dive right when I got there!!!

I bought this for Xbox. Not sure why other than the unexplainable urge I had to finish the campaign. I've played all things COD since COD2 and I can't help but say that they all feel so similar & rehashed.

I enjoy the co-op missions (Spec Ops) but haven't tried that Survival mode. Not a fan at all of multi-player modes; always feels like run-and-gun chaos mode with little to no strategy & teamwork.

I play BF3 with my "squaddies" much more often because, ironically, it feels more like "modern warfare" than Modern Warfare does. I still own multiple games from both franchises but lately the preference goes to Battlefield.

I was very split on whether I should get it or not, but then I decided to get it just for Spec Ops. I'm not much of an online multiplayer guy and I'll probably get through the campaign fairly quickly. But most of the time when I have friends over, we have a lot of fun with Spec Ops in MW2, so I'm hoping it will be same with MW3.

Oh it really is. The Spec Ops missions are really fun, and challenging.

The Survival mode is also a nice add to the game, zombies-like.

The campaign was alright, I'm not a huge fan of COD campaigns. I finished it on Hardened without TOO much difficulty. I won't post any spoilers, but the last mission was pretty badass.

Does anyone know what tools can be used on a Mac to hack the MW3 or MW2 offline split screen mpdata from a PS3?

Split screen is fun but it is a shame that most players don't get to use any of the stuff, as in Black Ops, where everything is just unlocked.

I play WM3 and BF3 on PC. Mouse gives me better feeling when I play FPS game. Personally, I prefer WM3 more with my effective M4A1, but too many people abuse akimbo FMG9. Akimbo should be removed from this game.

The akimbo FMGs are just the latest chorus of what should be removed. Problem though, is that you remove those, you're just going to replace it with akimbo MP9s. When people want those gone, they'll realize the power of akimbo Skorpions. The problem is with the akimbo function, but it's been that way since MW2 and the abused akimbo 1887s. I'm sure though that IW is reluctant to pull the akimbo feature because it will make machine pistols almost completely unused.

There's always going to be weapons that get abused in CoD. Currently Type 95, 2X FMG9s, and Strikers dominate. People hate them because it can make middle level players competitive ( like me ), and keep most really strong players from completely dominating. That isn't to say that dominant players still don't rule, especially with those same weapons, but those weapons let less skilled players add that unpredictability factor along with the crappy spawns.

Do I personally care for them? No. But I've learned to adapt. I either use those weapons myself, or I'll slow my game down so I don't run headlong into a barrage of FMGs or Strikers. I much rather they fix the busted spawn system that will put you in the crosshairs of the last person who killed you over & over, under teammate's falling care packages, or even with the opposing team. I'd also wish there was a way to put players who intentionally play with crappy connections in rooms with other crappy connections only. Let them skip & teleport across the map with their shotguns & and poor sniping, to their laggy hearts content.

I just love when I get messages calling me a, " camping whore" when I am actually *shocking* sniping.... Same applies to people complaining when I hard scope because I am actually *shocking* sniping... Sorry I am not going to run around with a Barrett .50 cal sniper rifle and show how elite and godly I am by quick scoping( because I can't quick scope worth a crap). I understand complaining about people who camp with an assault rifle and the like, but complaining when a sniper actually snipes?

I just hate when I get hit markers with the Barrett especially close range. That 50 caliber bullet would tear you to shreds in real life, but in COD if I miss the sweet spot by just a little, I get a hit marker. But, if I knife you in the foot you die....

I actually don't have an issue with camping anymore, since they added the Kill Confirmed mode. Let all the pansy little 133t MLG wannabes camp ( otherwise known as campfire girls ) pitch their tents and settle in, in TDM. They want to camp, I stay away from TDM, and play KC. Unfortunately the less talented campers have gravitated from TDM to KC, hoping to make youtube vids of their 'skills'. Which means you get players who occasionally kill, but don't pick up tags, costing their teams. If you want to camp, seriously go play hardcore and stare at the clock ticking away.

Kill Confirmed is meant to be a faster paced, up close infantry John Woo caricature fighting mode.

I can't snipe, let alone quick scope, and not the biggest fans of players running around with sniper rifles. I respect sniping and if you can do it, but using Barretts as some kind of shotty is busted. I always have to laugh at people who 'snipe' someone who's 5 feet running in front of them, like that's skill. There's a reason you get a secondary weapon, especially the OP akimbo FMG9s. Those are your run around weapons. In a game of Domination a sniper with Recon Pro can be the asset the Recon class in Battlefield is. Snipers are supposed to be the eyes of the field, the infantry does the running around. Quick scoping has become the legalized exploit for players who earn their over powered advantage. It looks cool as hell, even if I don't care for it.

That's the thing, the only modes I have played so far have been kill confirmed and Team Defender. I still run into campers on KC( Team Defender is nothing, but camping once your team has the flag). As I sniper, yeah I don't go and grab tags(unless they are close) since well I am far away in my sniping spot. The thing that gets me is that my teammates always run by the tags and never pick them up.... I mean WTF....

The issue I have with Team Defender and why I stick with Kill Confirmed is that A) The team that has the flag just camps the hell out of everyone to protect the flag holder. Strategy wise it makes sense, but that isn't the type of play I like to do. B) What I started to notice is that the other team will never pick up the flag, but camp in the area where the flag is waiting for the enemy to pick it up so they can get the XP points for killing the flag holder. Overall I find Team Defender a haven for people who only care about prestiging 100 billion times, etc instead of just playing the game....

Talking about stat whores, I just go, " Who cares". I don't care about my K/D ratio, accuracy, etc. I play the game to have fun. Do I keep track of it? Yeah sure, since it gives me my level of skill I am currently at, but I don't care that my K/D ratio is .735 and my accuracy is 15%. I am not going try hard to boost those stats up. If they go up, it's because my skill went up. Not because I chose weapons or methods to boost them up.

Another thing I find funny is that in MW2, I hated sniping. I reserved sniping for maps I hated like Afgan and Estate. Everywhere else I would use the M4A1 or just run around with a tactical knife/throwing knife and kill people. And yet in MW3, I can't get enough sniping. I am enjoying sniping besides the whole hit marker issue. If I don't snipe, I use the M4A1.
