Modifying Watch Sport box to charge?

I don't get my watch until Monday, but I was curious to those who have the box for the Watch Sport... is there enough space under where the watch sits that you could cut out space for the charging puck? I think that would be a fun project to add a bit of functionality to the nice case Apple provided. Thoughts?

Because you have to pay for that (the Edition box has this function, all you have to do is just plug in the lightening cable at the back of the box).

Hmm, interesting idea, especially as I like the idea of the WatchKeeper case, but don't really love how huge/expensive it is. Having said that, I've got a SS on the way, so I'd probably need to head to eBay to get a Sport box to mod.

Is it possible to drill a charger puck-shaped hole in it so it can lie flat while charging and the cable can run underneath?
