I started using my brand new scanner, canon lide 25.
I do not know why but it seems to have the moire effect.
Inside my photos I can see these unwanted lines and circles.

Is the problem about a setting I do not set correctly?
Is it a hardware problem? (I hope not)

I have used many hp scanners in the past I never had such problems.

What do you suggest?

I'm not a scanner expert, but usually patterns like that come from not having the descreen feature set properly.

If you're scanning photos printed from film, this theoretically shouldn't be an issue (unless maybe you have descreen on when it should be off); if you're scanning prints from a digital camera, then this might be the problem depending on the grain pattern the printer produces, or you might be able to resolve it just by changing to a different resolution.
