I was trying to wipe,my iPhone 6s display with a damp cloth and I wiped the small speaker on the top of the screen. Is this okay since this is an opening to the device, or could water get in through there and cause damage?

You should be fine. If you were submerging it, that may be a different story.

I know, I just have OCD and I always feel like something may go wrong because of something I did

Given the kind of things you bring up, based on the tests, it seems like the chances are very small. They are certainly there, as there are chances for many things really, but they don't seem to be much of a concern usually. That said, no one would really be able to tell if something might or might not happen--as you said it's just a small chance basically--you can only try to avoid those things and if they do happen do your best to deal with them and see how it all goes.
