I've been trying to reinstall 10.14.6 on a secondary drive as a backup, and it keeps failing with a big log file. I thought I had used two different installers in case that was the issue, but it still happens. Would someone be willing to take a look at this? It's happened now on two different SSDs (SATA). This is on a 5,1 cMP w/Monterey as the main OS.

Also, I noticed that this machine lists a "System Firmware Version: 9144.1.0.1.0" rather than 144.0.0.0.0. Would this be anything related?

Please try disable SMBIOS spoofing before you install Mojave.

And if you want to play safe (in case Mojave installation unsuccessful, you can still boot back to Monterey. Then please also turn on VMM.

Which means, do this.

the 9144 indicates that the martin lo opencore is still in effect. do a pram reset and ensure there is no opencore file in the efi of the drive your trying to install on. this could also be happening because your using a macos with opencore currently to install vanilla mojave. try removing the drive with opencore and then install mojave from usb installer. if all else fails download carbon copy cloner(free trial period) and make a copy of the working mojave and since it wont copy over efi opencore files you should be good at that point but just remember to name that drive mojave 2 so theres no confusion.
