Does it fix the issue right after installing DP3 or does DP3 fix the issue but requiring you to clean install windows? Thanks.
So has someone tried and can someone confirm that Developer Beta 3 fixed the issue aswell?

It didn't fix for me.

It didn't work for me.

However, I did succesfully boot into Windows again using the bless tool. Here's how I did it.

Click on it to expand

After it, it should boot into Windows:

To get into root:

sudo -s

List your disk drives, and identify your Windows EFI partition:

diskutil list

Use the bless utility to set that partition for boot:

bless --device /dev/diskXsY --setBoot --verbose

Reboot your system:

reboot

Do not press the option key when booting.

Mojave b3 did NOT fix the issue for me here. 2016 MBP.

Trying 10.13.6 beta now...

Dang. 10.13.6 worked for me. That entailed going back to HS then installing the newest Beta. However, now I am left with the doubt if installing DB3 over HS (without installing DB2) will prompt the issue to appear. I am going to install DB3 on my HS secondary machine to test exactly that. I will not install Betas on my primary computer anymore. Learned my lesson.

What is more worrying, if Apple fixed the issue in HS Beta and not in Mojave, would this mean maybe a shift in functionality coming our way for Mojave? is Apple perchance disallowing booting windows installed in external drives? That alone would kill Mojave for me.

UPDATE: I installed Developer's Beta 3 over High Sierra 10.3.5 and it did NOT introduce the issue. I installed DB3 on my 2016 MacBook Air. So in my eyes, the issue is circumscribed only to DB2. In other words, with DB3, I can freely boot between Windows and Mac in Bootmanager and I am able to boot from my Windows to Go External SSD with no problems.

That must be because you didn't pass through Mojave DP2 that misconfigured the EFI.

Other people here have Mojave DP3 and the problem persists.

So let me get this right, if I upgrade from my current 10.13.5 installation on my iMac to Mojave DB3 then I won‘t run into this issue? (I didn‘t have Mojave installed thus far.) The issue only happens when installing DB2 at some point?

Thats correct in my experience.

If you can afford to do it, backup whatever important data you may have. Proceed next to format the drive, and install HS 10.3.5, then install HS 10.3.6 Beta 5. At this junction, you can install Mojave DB3, or keep using 10.3.6 Beta 5. Your issue should be gone.

I just finished flashing my fw (regression backwards) to correct booting issues on my MP 5,1.

It was quick and easy... I loaded the fw contained in th Mojave DP3 and I believe it fixed my issues. I’ll test More tomorrow.

Yup, I'm using an external SSD partition for these betas and 10.13.6 beta fixed the EFI weirdness.

For future reference, this was my update path, on a 2016 15-inch MBP:
  • Fresh install - Mojave DP1: No boot issues
  • Wiped partition, fresh install - Mojave DP2: Boot issues started
  • Upgrade install - Mojave DP2 -> DP3: Boot issues remained
  • Wiped partition, fresh install - 10.13.5: Did not check boot issue
  • Upgrade install - 10.13.5 -> 10.13.6 beta: Boot issue FIXED
Gonna try a fresh install of DP3 now.

Answer me this if you can please. Did u install Developer´s Beta 2 or Public Beta 1? I know they have to be the same build, but they have one small difference (Developer’s Beta 2 (18A314h) / Public Beta (18A314k)). They were released one week apart, and I want to know if there's one case directly related to installing Public Beta 1 on a system that had any previous Mac OS (Excluding Mojave Developer´s Beta 2).

I can confirm that:
1) I do not have access to Developer Betas.
2) I have installed Public Beta 1 of MacOS Mojave
3) I can no longer boot to any partition other than Mojave using any known previous tools.

Setup:
tbMBP 2017 15" 2.8
Public Beta 18A314k
Windows 10 on external Samsung T3 500GBb SSD

I have a slightly different issue. After updating the firmware, I have to unplug my usb keyboard and plug it back in after a reboot. Not the end of the world since I have it reboot only once a week but still kind of an inconvenience. Anyone else seen that?
