Mojave external monitor problems

Anyone else seeing this? When I attach my MBP to my external monitor, it connects. Then after 30 seconds or so, the monitor goes blank claiming no signal. 30 seconds or so later, it connects again, then disconnects again, and so forth.

It worked fine under High Sierra.

This on a 2016 MBP 15”.

Very irritating, obviously.

Hi - I'm not having this issue on my 2016 MBP. It is working fine with my external Dell screen (34")..

No issues with my MBP connected to a Thunderbolt 2 display.

Updated to Mojave, and my Dell Ultrawide suddenly gets a "no signal" from my 2017 iMac and 2017 MBP.

I'm going to try swapping cables, but it seemed awfully coincidental that it stopped working after updating.

Update: Swapped cables and for some god forsaken reason, my cable died at the exact time I updated. What are the chances?
