Hello,
I have just installed Mojave on my old MacPro 4.1, with a updated firmware to 5.1 // all under 10.9.5, with my 10 years old GK Nvidia GeForce GT 120 - 512 MByte // via VGA cable to a brand new pre-formatted SSD - aka --> Dosdude1 method ;-) , No problems, everything works fine ... but not in the correct resolution (40 "- 4K UHD - 3840 x 2160) - which I expected so far
- The startup manager for booting (" alt key ") available only under 10.9.5 w. & only with the old GT120 .. with the GTX 680 only the Command + R // Recovery mode available ;-) or under the system control under starting volume.
Question:
Why is Mojave not running with the GTX 680? in APFS ???? (Runs perfect in 60 HZ / 4K with the 10.9.5 - I can't understand why with an old GT 120s, but not with a flashed GTX 680s ?? First of all, I heard that it should actually run without the NVIDIA driver with the standard drivers from Apple? - On the other hand, everyone is waiting for the still unpublished Mojave driver from NVIDIA ??
Maybe some tricks & tips? - (Boot-ROM-Version: MP51.007F.B03)
Thanks for that
C.
