I want a smart Apple Genius to help me understand if it's alright.

And I will, it's just, damaging a Mac isn't something I fancy. Ya know?

I was going to cry if it was damaged lol

It isn't Apple's job to determine if something you did that isn't covered under warranty broke your Macbook...no matter how you feel about it. Slip-ups happen and maybe you should chat with your dad about it.

Thanks guys! ^____^

My mom is 170 pounds, she's trying to get it off so that's good.

AGAIN THANKS GUYS! I love Macrumors and my fellow members! :D

Kinda a oxymoron, uh? You'd hope that all Apple Geniuses would be smart, i mean, after all, they are GENIUSES, right?

Kind funny though! I know exactly what you mean...

I think you mean a tautology (or maybe you do mean an Oxymoron based on some of the Apple Geniuses) :D

[No insult or intention to diss your grammar meant: Just a good opportunity for a joke ;)]

Basically what you'd want to be concerned with in this kind of situation is flexing/cracking of the logic board. However, the unibodies are sturdy, and if the case doesn't appear to be warped you should be good to go. Think about it: your MacBook was essentially sandwiched between your mom and the couch cushion. The couch cushion would have absorbed most of the force, and I doubt your mom kept sitting on it once she realized what was up. So chances are good the amount of force applied to your machine was minimal, and assuming it was closed at the time it was in it's ideal position to withstand it. If your LCD didn't crack and your case isn't warped, you should be fine.

if ur really worried just run an apple hardware test, i see these kinds of threads =everyday but i always say the same thing, if ur so worried run the apple hardware test, to run it shut down ur macbook. turn it back on and as soon as u press the power button hold down D until u see that little spinning gear under the apple. if ur really worried run the extended test which takes like 40 minutes

My MacBook was actually on a desk once and my stupid aunt supposably didn't know it wasn't their so she lean on it with both her hands kind of like you would with a desk. Did I mention she was overweighted?

I mean come on! It was silver against a wooden desk. Who wouldn't notice that it was a MacBook.

It was fairly new, around 2 weeks old too. I'm just glad she didn't break it or at least I think she didn't. :(

Still mad at her.

Is it okay? Apple told me "I'm sorry that happened to you" and I need more than that. It was on a couch and there will some covers above it, so when my mom sat down there must have been cushion right?

Everything appears to be okay, But I wonder if anything inside is messed up...

(Aluminum MacBook)

PLEASE HELP!!:(

Although this question has already been answered. Unless your screen is cracked or there is a large noticable curve in your aluminum casing...you're fine. Metal won't bend back into shape, and unless you've seriously bent the exoskeleton of these alu books, shes as good as new.
