What I always wanted.

A plate for my burger that also has an iPhone stand.

I backed the Magflott Magnetic iPad Stand on KS and turned out great.

Some others I have backed didn't turn out so well, like the product isn't good or broke. All my backed projects have been sent out.
Oh yes I have backed a few too and have had a pretty positive experience, only one backing took so long to finally ship to me that I forgot I even backed it. I didn't mean for my post to possible come off negative. Just backing products that could cause or lead to damage to things I own makes me nervous. The iPad stand I would want to see others views on the build quality, it is much easier to have a couple of "perfect" models for the promotion of the product, but mass-producing is another beast (as you have experienced) and the last thing I want is the iPad tumbling down from poor magnets

No go for me on the iPad stand. Needing to commit to a specific iPad size is a mistake. I want a product where the base can stay the same and stick around for a few years, but I can keep buying new mounting plates depending on which device I've upgraded to at the time.

Even if I kept buying the same size iPad, no question the magnet configuration will change. Asking people to buy a whole new unit is not the right play.

Wow, I don’t think I’ve ever seen a magnetic tablet stand before. Something to look into if my Kabcon ever breaks I guess.
I use this stand: https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B09BVW8ZWS
Also tried two other stands, but liked that one the best. It lacks the lowering hinge of the Lab22 stand, but it’s probably also more sturdy as a result. And you gotta love the brand name (BongBingBoo).

I Do like the look of that ipad gear. But gotta say since I got the magic keyboard, I have no need or desire for any other type of stand. The keyboard really does that perfectly for me.

A phone stand? To me there’s no use for that.

Hey, this is Jordan from Moment.
Great point, we're concerned about this too. The stand is designed so that the magnetic plate can be removed and (hopefully) replaced when future iPad gens warrant it. Right now we're confident the next gen iPad Pro's will be compatible.
Obviously Apple doesn't share specs until they release product, so we can never commit to saying that our products are forward compatible, but our hope is that you can replace the plate for a much lower price and use the rest of the stand for many, many years.

It's crazy the lengths iPad owners have to go through because iPads don't have kickstands. These look like they at least raise the iPad up a bit over the desk so I can see the added utility.

I will never understand why an established company needs to get payment up front through Kickstarter. Make the product and then I'll maybe buy it when I've seen some reviews, etc. Seems reasonable to me.

Also, the headphone stand is neat looking but seems to have no provision for cable management. The product renders all seem to ignore the fact that you'll want your APM charging when they're not in use.
I agree. This seems to be a way to hedge bets and get payment up front to finance the development while learning about how popular product likely to be. Seems good for them but a hassle.

The Sketchboard Pro is more useful for iPad as it allows you to rest your hand outside of the iPad, this looks awkward.

Hi @Jordan Wisniewski
As mentioned by @giggles a few posts earlier, what about a possibility of adding wireless charging capability to the iPad stands if Apple launch an M2 iPad Pro with Magsafe this October ?
Also, if the iPads stands didn’t shipped before January 2023, will it be possible to add the compatibility with M2 iPad Pros ?
If Apple release those new M2 iPads Pros by the end of October, could you be able to get your hands on them an adapt your stands ?
I’m interested in your project but also with the next gen iPads Pro so your answer will be greatly appreciated !
Thanks in advance

I'm fond of this Magnetic Stand on Amazon, bottom hinges are very stiff, but that's to keep the heavier iPads from changing the angle.

Hey Clipsyder,
If they release M2 Magsafe iPads in October we'll definitely look into a version that has charging, but it will be separate from our current drop as we'll need to design and manufacture the appropriate charging coil and three months will be too tight to validate that. We hope Apple will love us one day, but as a new brand we are definitely not getting an inside running on their charging designs.
If you can sacrifice the charging I think you'll be into what we released today. But if charging is what you want I hope you stick with us! Keep the suggestions coming through though, we love to hear it.

Quite niche.

As holder for a store window display it seems useful.

I can see it as super useful for places that use ipads to check people in, for stands at the maitre d position at restaurants, etc. The fact that it doesnt charge though is kinda prob

Good to hear!

Just something else to consider here - rather than 2 different base sizes, 1 common base would be far more attractive to me as a consumer as well. The only thing I should want to pick is what plate I want to attach to it. The "investment" is the base which should be versatile enough to handle multiple sizes.

I suspect the base differences are more than likely stability related? Lot of ways to stack additional weight hidden into the base in a modular way as well. Just an idea.

I'm not going to lie, at first I rolled my eyes because I'm just tired of all of these youtubers and how everyone has their own line of whatever.

But I will give credit where credit is due - that ipad stand looks pretty nice. my only concern with paying alot of money for an accessory is the ipad design changes, does it make this stand useless?

I really like the design of the iPad stand, but wish it was a charging stand that utilized the Smart Connector on the iPad Pro. That’s the only thing that has prevented me from pulling the trigger on several of these over the past couple years. Until then I guess I’ll keep using the Magic Keyboard as my stand.
