Mom's iMac keeps renaming itself after reconnecting to wifi.??

When my mom wakes up her iMac from sleep, sometimes its disconnected from the airport. it connects back fine, but then tells you its in use or something and it renames the comp the same as last time but adds a number...like 1, 2, 3, and now 4 i think. whats the deal? will upgrading to lion fix this? because I've been meaning too anyways

I get that issue also once in a while and I don't have Lion
