I want to connect my MacBook Pro (17-inch, Mid 2010)
    to a a 17" Studio Display (Model No: M7649).
What connecting adapter(s) do I need?
    Thanks. :)

You need an ADC to DVI adapter that also supplies Power. The ADC to DVI only (i.e. cheap) adapter will not work as that is for hooking a standard DVI monitor to a Mac Pro with ADC outputs.

    Here's what you need:
    http://www.amazon.com/Apple-M8661LL...TF8&qid=1365009980&sr=1-2&keywords=ADC+to+DVI

At this point, it is cheaper just to buy a new monitor and will be much bigger unless you can find a used ADC to DVI adapter somewhere. Further then you will need a DVI to Mini Displayport Adapter as well, but those can be found for fairly reasonable prices (like $10).
