    Hey all,

Question for you...If I have my MBP connected to an external monitor, will the external monitor dim like the laptop display does as the ambient light gets lower in the room?

No it does not dim, the monitor stays the same brightness.

The brightness adjustment works on just the MBP screen too.

    Cheers

Actually yes it does. doint it right now and connected to a 23" ACD. But you can set it up in the control panel if it annoys you.

Maybe it's only an ACD thing, doesn't dim with my dell.

Not even if you put your hands to cover both sides of the keyboard?
