I won a fulled spec'd Mac mini at a fundraising drawing and I have absolutely no clue what monitor to buy for it. I would like this to be my kids main desktop computer for a while now and honestly since I got the Mac mini for free (minus the $100 cost for the tickets to the fundraiser), I want the best monitor available. I have a son that is taking graphics design and film editing courses in high school if that matters at all.

I would like the monitor to be at least 27" but preferrable larger. I have no idea what I'm doing here, does anyone have any recommendations? We've never used a Mac Mini before and the 2010 iMac they have been using is just not cutting it and has reached its end. Thanks for any help here.

Edit: This is the i7 model with 32GB of RAM for reference.

Here's a recent thread that pretty well covers this question. The fully-spec'd 2018 Mini has the i7 processor with 64gb RAM, 2tb SSD and 10gb ethernet. Is that what you have won?

It is the i7 Model with 32GB of RAM and 2TB of storage. Apologies, not fully spec'd as I thought it was as it doesn't have the 64GB of RAM in it.

You might also want to have a look at problems some people have had in these threads:

"I would like the monitor to be at least 27" but preferrable larger."

Get a 32" (QHD) display that has a NATIVE resolution of 1440p (2550x1440).
They're not too pricey and they look great.
The kids will love it.

Here's a list that may be of some use:

That’s < 100 ppi for a screen that size and resolution, maybe not great for graphics and video work the OP mentioned? Depends on how much that matters versus cost and general use.
