I turned on my Mac mini this morning to have the screen resolution reset. I have a 19" monitor which uses a 1440x900 resolution, I've tried resetting the PRAM but the usual 1440x900 resolution isn't there.

Does anyone know how to fix this? Or know an app that works on Lion to manually set the screen resolution?

Cheers

Sorry to bump but I've also tried starting my mac in safe mode.

I have a late 2009 Mac mini using the display port to DVI adaptor... If I was to buy a mini display port to VGA adaptor and use VGA to my monitor would that allow me choose 1440x900 again?

mine has done that just unplug the adapter from the back of the mini and plug it back up i know they say dont uplug stuff unless its usb while any computer is on but for the resolution to come back u have to this has worked for me but it might not for you

Just tried that again but it didn't work unfortunately :(
