I have a mac ibook g4 1.33 ghz.

My son was caught standing on the laptop (i forgive him. He is only ten months old). Now my monitor sometimes works and then drops out. The monitor will flash solid colors (red, white, blue, green, repeat). It makes me wonder if this is a logic board issue or a damaged monitor that partially works sometimes.

Thoughts?

Sounds like a problem with the display or a pinched display cable. You should be able to pick up a new one or an as-is iBook on Ebay for pretty cheap. If I'm not mistaken, any iBook G4 with the same screen size will work.

Pinched cables?

If the cables are pinched, can the fix be as easy as disassembling the monitor, wiggling wires, and putting it all back together carefully?
