Monitor problem

hey guys,

last night, my buddy reset the ram on the MAC.

ever since then the monitor is shot.

i have since hooked up my old PC monitor and it is working fine.

With the MAC monitor it was just black. I could hear sounds if I say turned up the volume or what not, but no picture nothing. I tried re-setting the Mac, unplugging everything and still nothing.

Is the monitor shot?

Is there someway I can know for sure or should I just take into a MAC store to test it out?
