Monitor suggestion for someone used to iMac 5K 27"

I'm upgrading from iMac 2015 5K 27" to a Mac Mini 2020.

Is there a screen that would suit my "used to Apple 5K" eyes? Something that doesn't cost a thousand dollars?

I tried a 4K LG screen, but it's not the same quality.

I can’t find a 5k 27” screen for less than $900, unless it is used. All the cheaper displays are 4k rather than 5k.

I saw that some people were ripping apart their old iMacs and installing new hardware boards to turn them into an external screen, just because of the crazy costs for 5k displays.

I will probably have to eat the high costs for a 5k display once the m3 studio computers are released. Right now it’s $2000 for apple’s display with height and tilt, about as much as I paid for the while iMac in 2018.
