I have a 2012 air 11" and connect with Samsung SyncMaster T260HD monitor.
Under Display, air shows SyncMaster display have the following resolution:

1080p
1080i
720p
480p
1920 x 1200
1600 x 1200

No matter which resolution I selected, the Samsung monitor shows really unclear.

Do I need to install any driver for the monitor?

Any feedback will be appreciated!!!

I am using non apple brand display port.

Thanks

You mean a Mini DisplayPort to Mini DisplayPort or Mini DisplayPort to DisplayPort cable or do you mean a Mini DisplayPort to VGA or Mini DisplayPort to DVI or Mini DisplayPort to HDMI adapter?

And since it is not from Apple, is it from another brand you could tell us?

Upon further research I found, that you use an HDTV (High Definition TeleVision), which has 1920 x 1080 pixel stretched to 25.5", which explains the blurriness.
Also know, that TVs are not meant for displaying computer graphics (which are mostly static and consist of text and other small elements) but for displaying moving content (films and such).

If you want a proper computer display, but a dedicated computer display.

No, it's a PC Monitor with TV-Tuner and a 1920 x 1200 resolution, so it should be fine. Also the 25.5" in combination with the resolution should not be too blurry.

Ah, I only saw HDTV mentioned numerous times on the site I linked to, and the diagonal size, that I though it was a TV.

Hmm, but then again, maybe it is a cheap panel? Who knows, maybe it is the adapter, maybe it is something else, maybe we will found out, but probably we will just go to Mars and beyond.
